OAK HARBOR, Wash. - One of Washington's most scenic bridges is celebrating its 75th birthday.

The Deception Pass Bridge was built by Seattle-based Puget Construction Company back in 1935.  The Department of Transportation inspects the two spans on a regular basis, and officials say they are still in great shape.

These days 15,000 vehicles pass over the two-part span every day.  Two million people visit the nearby Deception Pass State Park every year.

The Deception Pass Park Foundation is holding a special party to celebrate the milestone on Saturday, July 31. The public is invited.
