SEATTLE - Anglers young and old are talking about the ones that didn't get away. Saturday was opening day of fishing on the seasonal lakes.

The Department of Fish And Wildlife is making sure everyone has fishing licenses. The licenses cover the costs of growing fish in hatcheries.

Wildlife agents also want to ensure boaters have personal floatation devices.

"Try not to turn a pleasant fishing experience into a financial burden by getting a ticket or some sort of disaster because somebody died or was seriously injured because they didn't have their PFDs," said Sgt. Kim Chandler, Dept. of Fish & Wildlife.
