Old Masters at SAM

A two-part exhibition brings art treasures by Rembrandt, Van Dyck and Gainsborough to Seattle.

SIFF Movie Marathon

Oscar-nominated documentary shorts screen in two parts at SIFF this weekend. And just for fun, SIFF tacks on a six-film marathon of pictures famously snubbed by the Academy: “A Star Is Born,” “Fargo,” “The Thin Man,” “Do the Right Thing,” “Blazing Saddles” and a secret snub.
