I don't think her parents should have bought her an airline ticket home before the verdict, and then publicized that fact. I think that was a slap in the face of the jury, and could have possibly influenced their decision-making (which was obviously as emotional as much as fact-based, from what I've learned about the evidence in this case and the Italian system of "justice"). The parents also erred by announcing they would hold a live half-hour news conference, with questions and answers, IF she was found not guilty. That was also a slap at the jury, and at the same time it pandered to the European paparrazi which have always controlled this trial way too much. I don't know who was advising the parents about such things, but I think they've gotten some really bad advice. Where was the native Italian psychologist-consultant to help them tailor Amanda's and her parents' comments/testimony to the current Italian/Catholic psyche, all along? Nowhere, that I've heard about.

Whatever, I think she had something to do with it. Let's all not forget a young beautiful life was taken away. What about her families feelings. The news and media seemed to have forgotten about that.
