There's plenty of finger pointing and name calling going on in the Seattle mayor's race.

Seattle Mayor Mike McGinn has criticized his opponent State Senator Ed Murray in an alleged embezzlement scandal involving a state democratic fundraiser.

McGinn said Murray is trying to dodge taking the blame after charges were filed against the former Senate Democratic Campaign Committee Executive Director Michael King.

The alleged $250,000 theft happened while Murray co-chaired the committee.

"Murray sought to shift the blame elsewhere multiple times and I think that shows a failure to take accountability for his actions and that's a troubling pattern for someone who wants to be a big city mayor," McGinn said.

Murray countered, "When this was brought to our attention, we immediately went to the prosecutors and police. So, I think that is what a leader should do, to ask that we be investigated."
