RIDGEFIELD, Wash. -- Log trucks from across the Northwest converged on the Clark County Fairgrounds Saturday afternoon to honor a teenager who recently lost her battle with brain cancer.

Hannah Williams, 15, died last month.

Hannah’s father is a fellow log trucker, so truckers organized a convoy from as far north as Lakewood, Wash. and as far south as California.

Saturday’s celebration of life included a barbecue and service.

“I’m hearing from people very deep-hearted hellos and just that really true human connection of people reminding each other that life is short,” said Tyana Naomi Williams, Hannah’s mother.

Money raised at the event is going to help Hannah’s family.
