TACOMA, Wash. -- The pitter patter of little paws can be heard around Point Defiance Zoo in Tacoma - eight new paws to be exact.
Two new Sumatran Tiger cubs were born on May 25, 2010. Today is a big day for the cubs as they officially received their names that have been voted on by the public, announced live on KING 5 Morning News.
Weighing two pounds at birth, these cubs are expected to grow to be between 200-300 pounds each. This addition is significant because fewer than 300 Sumatran Tigers exist worldwide.
