Teen's Christmas display is too much for family fusebox

ST, ANN, MO - At first glance Sean Koepke is like any other teenage boy.

All you have to do is look around his room or ask his mother.

"Teenager, typical teenager," says mom Debbie Koepke.

The difference really is how he's spent the last few months.

To say Sean enjoys the holiday, would be a bit of an understatement.

He's put a couple of inflatables on the lawn and more than trimmed the trees with lights.

"We have a our own radio station and all the lights go to the beat of the music," Sean explains.

He is a mother's holiday decorating dream come true, for the most part.

"When I started losing power I knew it was serious," Debbie says.

He's run more than 15,000 lights and has a half of a mile of tangled extension cords running across the yard wrapped, of course, with a bit of duct tape.

"I have to do laundry in the daytime and I also have to run my dishwasher in the daytime because if I do it at night, even with this extension of the amps, I blow. We're like the Griswolds," Debbie goes on to say.

Only the Griswolds, the family featured in the film "Christmas Vacation", weren't this sophisticated.

And as for being that typical teenager, well he is because apparently chicks dig holiday decorations.

"They said they'd come out and hang out and watch it," Sean says.
