Tapes of Attorney Bremner's 911 calls released

SEATTLE - Seattle attorney Anne Bremner pleaded guilty this week to DUI charges and apologized for her actions in court. Now we're getting a much better idea of what those actions were and we're hearing her in her own words on the night of her arrest.

Bremner spent weeks trying to keep information related to the case under wraps, but she finally pleaded guilty and stopped legal efforts to block release of documents, and audio and video material.

What practical purpose for the good of all was served by releasing these tapes? Why embarrass someone for the sheer perverted pleasure? M.A.

She should have just owned up to the DUI, and pleaded guilty in the first place. Acting nutty like that, telling lies, slurring her words to 911, insulting the arresting officer, etc just made things worse for her. Maybe now she realizes it.

I have a great question. Why does Bremner or anyone else call 911 to report that they have car problems and are stuck, they are stuck because it's snowing and they can't get up a hill, or any other of a myriad of other stupid questions or requests for help? 911 is a number to dial when you need to report an emergency or to ask for EMERGENCY help. Your inability to operate a motor vehicle properly or wanting to know what a loud noise was that you just heard do not qualify as emergencies. Sheeeeesh! If I were a 911 operator I would dread going to work simply because I hate dealing with people who can't think for themselves.

Bremner is lucky she wasn't putting away her pen knife as she turned her back on the officer whose commands seemed incoherent to her? Driving in the condition she was in is akin to firing a gun into a crowd with no particular victim in mind.

Never heard Anne talking so S L O W with such LOOOOOOOOOOOOOONG pauses. And what kind of person calls 911 (twice) about flat tires?! Lives are at stake. There should be a charge for that alone. Anne's latest story (bipolar meds) still doesn't address: 1) her LIE about mysterious "hit & run" driver; 2) her LIE about a "brain injury" pursuant to the hit & run; & 3) her INTENTIONAL DEFAMATION of an honest, hardworking, underpaid cop.
