The findings of a new scientific study might not surprise anyone, but researchers found that women find men more attractive when they are driving high-end cars.

It's been said that the clothes make the man, but a new study published in the British Journal of Psychology suggests it's also your car.

The study randomly selected 240 random people who were then shown photos of an average looking person seated inside a costly vehicle or a reasonably priced, modest car.

The study found women were more likely to rate a man as more attractive when he was seated inside a high-class car. No effect was seen when the gender role was switched.

In an article about the study, University of New Mexico Professor Geoffrey Miller says while women may be attracted to expensive cars, overall "they care more about kindness, intelligence and other traits like humor and emotional stability."

It takes a brilliant college professor of the highest standards of intelligence and refinement of the most prestigious minds in the academia to tell us that women are seeking men with the money and material comforts.....

If that's the kind of woman you want, then that's fine, but I'd rather just pay her up front. It's cheaper in the long run and both parties know up front what they're getting.

Did they really need to do a study to figure that out?

I have never been interested in Man that drove expensive cars, anyhow for the most part the man that usually drive expensive cars were for the most part far older then me. Needless to say I think many women today are far more independent and have more money then ever to buy expensive cars now if they want to.

When the gender roles were switched, men were asked what do you think about this woman seated behind this Lexus SC430. 91% answered, "I wonder who she's pleasing to buy her that?" while 9% answered, "Wow, look at that hard-working businesswoman!"

To the posters above, please pay attention to the last sentence in the article, "they care more about kindness, intelligence and other traits like humor and emotional stability." My girlfriend is quite intelligent and attractive, and when we met I was driving a '95 Ford F150 pickups. I still drive a pickup today and we are still happily together.

And even more funny, on King 5's page, one of the sponsored links is "The 15 Cheapest Cars to Own" I guess women (or gay men) should only pay attention to that link.

Probably a government sponsored study. Hmmm. Women are attracted to men with money. What a huge surprise. What a bunch of idiots who wasted their time with such a study; and how stupd King 5 to make this news! Come on!

...and polite men refer to those women as gold diggers. Which is fine as long as they give good head. :)

Women are also attracted to how fat that thing in your pant's is. No, not up front, I'm talking about the back pocket (wallet). Polite women refer to these men as "good providers".
