Seattle landmark turned into ski jump

When it snows, Seattle hills become playgrounds. But we've never seen anything like this. KING 5's Amy Moreno reports.

I think they should allow this, and maybe even encourage it - but prohibit the participants from wearing a helmet.

While I'm not saying that these guys are pro's, and all they showed on the news clips were failed tricks, not the nicely landed ones, what these guys were doing was not dangerous to anyone but themselves. I don't know if I would have been landing on that little of snow myself, but to each their own. If you want an example of great street skiing, check out JP Auclair's segment from the movie all.i.can on Vimeo. Just search "JP Auclair Street Segment" on the Vimeo site. Not everything that people deem "extreme" is unsafe. Like the guys at the shop said in the video, these guys obviously have experience. They are taking calculated risks for enjoyment, that is all.

Awesome video of truely stupid behavior. And those idiots in that car obviously have no regard for anyone they may injure or kill as a result of speeding on an icy street in a reckless manner. The mood of this gathering of stupid people sure would have changed in a hurry if someone was seriously hurt, or worse, and they wouldn't have learned a thing from behaving so stupidly. They'll be there doing the same thing next time.
