A female eagle has found a new mate and started a family after losing her mate last summer.

Blogger Larry Hubbell posted pictures
of Eva and her new mate, along with two eaglets, sitting in a nest at the Broadmoor Country Club.

A bus hit Eva's mate, Eddie, last summer.

"There's life after Eddie. There's something going on in this nest that he helped to build," said Hubbell.

Locals knew Eddie as the eagle that regularly perched himself on lampposts along the 520 bridge.
