The Oregon Zoo confirmed a report by Seattle Times reporter Michael Berens that a newborn elephant calf is owned by a California company called Have Trunk Will Travel under a breeding contract that sent the father, Tusko, to the zoo in 2005. Dennis Bounds sat down with Berens to talk about the issue of elephants in captivity.
