I am truly sorry it has taken the events of the last month and culminating with the deaths of the four officers to realize the depth of what these officers sacrifice for myself and others everyday. I feel that I am not the first to realize it is time for us to protect and serve those that protect and serve the communities we all share. As guppster said, I am stunned. I am still relatively young but have lived through the Oklahoma City bombings, 9/11/01, and attended school near Columbine during the shooting there. As with those events I will never forget the day that I saw this happen and the awe and shock that came over me. It is so incredibly sad that it cannot be appropriately expressed.

May those officers rest in peace. To all the officers out there, I would like to say THANK YOU! THANK YOU for risking your lives everyday to protect and serve each and everyone of us in the community. Your not thanked enough!
