Rainier Valley residents want safer neighborhood

SEATTLE - A 10-year-old boy is accused of shooting himself during a robbery attempt on a Metro bus in the Rainier Valley, and residents want the mayor to make buses and the neighborhood safer places.

To the two brain surgeons who posted previously: So everyone who lives in the Rainier Valley is responsible for the criminal element that lives there? My children don't deserve police protection because there are some absent parents in the area? The children who attend school at the intersection mentioned in the video can go @$#! themselves, because they live in a part of town you don't go to? If there is a heinous crime in your neighborhood, are you responsible? Buy a vowel.

"residents want the mayor to make buses and the neighborhood safer" really? I didn't realize it was the mayor's job to parent the low life loser thugs. A safer neighborhood starts at home. Raise good law abiding, law respecting kids and this will result in a safer neighborhood.
