The City of Seattle has told some businesses that the A-frame sandwich signs they have been using to advertise are not allowed on sidewalks because of safety concerns.

If you look up the old laws, it's also illegal to eat a lollipop while walking on a pier in Seattle. I am pretty sure lollipops have been around less time than sandwich board signage. Maybe people need to do away with their lollipops (aka cell phones, blackberries, palm pilots, iphones) and watch where they are walking. Seriously, Seattle. The coffee isn't waking you up anymore.
