TACOMA, Wash. - A big push to spay and neuter cats in Pierce County is apparently working and keeping the number of strays down, and that means fewer cats are brought in to the Humane Society, and fewer adoptable animals need to be euthanized.
For the first time in the history of the Humane Society of Tacoma and Pierce County shelter, no cats had to be euthanized for a whole month.
