I watched your coverage on this story all morning and am just sick with sadness. When you switched over to skating, I went upstairs and turned on the radio. The Covington oldies station was playing "I shot the sheriff". While I love Eric Clapton's music, I found the timing of playing this song offensive. I really hope that was just a mistake on the radio station's part and that all of us can be respectful of the victims in this tragedy.

This is a tradgedy. I am a former Lakewood Police Officer and currenlty a police sergeant in California. I will miss these officers. My thoughts and prayers go out to the entire LPD community and their families. God bless.

My heart goes out to the officers involved, their families and friends and all the fellow officers who knew them. I can TRULY say I know what they are going through as I too, Have lost a loved one to murder...(my 8 year old daughter Kelsie). It's a sad day in Pierce county just knowing that someone is so cruel to go out and do something like this to the ones that PROTECT and serve us EVERYDAY! We are ALL grieving in my house TODAY for the surviving "victims" as we truly know the DEVASTATION and shock they must be feeling right now. Memarie Dhillon
