Lenders now have a lot more information about you than ever before.  That's because of a new kind of credit report that details how you handle everything from electric payments to past rent.  Jessie Jones explains a news credit report called CoreScore, which digs deeper than ever into your payment history.

As stated, "If you have mice running around or no hot water, you Can in some jurisdictions not pay your rent... TO YOUR LANDLORD. But you still have to go through the right legal channels and you HAVE to set up an Escrow account with it's sole intention of paying rent once your landlord gets those problems fixed, aka up to code/standards so legislated. I'm all for this "deeper" look! Those who are responsible consumers have nothing to fear and everything to gain. Those who are not responsible won't be able to continue on their current path of "living beyond their means". Personally I believe that the entire idea of an arbitrary number to represent your credit history as a "score" is ridiculous and lazy. If your lender is truly concerned about their money getting paid back, then they should do the digging in the public records themselves and calculate the risk.

Yay bring it on. This should increase my credit score. Not that it could get muc higher. Hopefully I will get better interest rates because those who drive up the costs will either be denied or have to pay higher rates due to their lack of responsible borrowing and repayment. Finally something smart coming from lenders who historically have been giving high risk people too much credit

Amen...Corporations are superceding governments...Consider what happens when we live (and die..) under the "Umbrella Corporation".

Big Brother owns America - but it ain't gubmint - we Americans sold our privacy, freedom & security to corporations decades ago. Combine financial info with job history & medical info and you've got a database worthy of the worlds great Corporate machines. Data like that would be just the ticket for MIC blackmail of the entire civilization. Such evil those Socialists are in Europe - at least the Swedes & Germans aren't in a Permanent War...
