TUMWATER, Wash. -- While the discovery of three missing women in Ohio amazes most, it gives Melissa Baum hope.

“It goes to show they come home,” said Baum.

Her daughter Lindsey was 10 when she was last seen walking home from a friend’s house in McCleary in June of 2009.

Her mother knows the statistics suggest her daughter was killed, but she has never been willing to believe that, despite what people have told her.

“Some of them clearly think I’m ridiculous,” Baum said. “They think I should get over it.”

Baum said hope is all she has.

“If I had none I don’t think I could make it through a day,” said Baum.
