Two people driving a van were injured Wednesday afternoon after their vehicle collided with a Metro bus in Seattle.
The accident happened around 4:45 p.m. at Pike and Boren streets, just east of downtown Seattle.
The Metro bus #47 was traveling eastbound on Pike Street and the van was traveling north on Boren when they collided at the intersection.
Metro officials said they believe the van ran through a red light and collided with the bus.
Seattle Fire Department said medics transported the male driver and a female passenger of the van to Harborview Medical Center. They were reportedly in stable condition.
There were also a couple of minor injuries on the bus. People were treated at the scene and released.
Police have blocked off traffic at the intersection for their investigation. Traffic at Minor Street was also blocked. Drivers are advised to take alternate routes or expect delays.
