Mister Steamy is a spiky green dryer ball that claims to make your clothes "wrinkle-free" without an iron, so we let Jesse buy it.

Special thanks to our tester Matt Smith, who will be gracing the cover of the Washington State Council of Fire Fighters Burn Foundation 2011 Calender.

We contacted the makers of "Mister Steamy" about our results and an in e-mailed statement they say: "The Mister Steamy dryer ball has been through a rigorous product testing process to ensure quality results. We have heard from a number of satisfied customers who are pleased with the product."

Jesse does not receive any kind of compensation from the manufacturer for products featured. If you have a product you would like Jesse to try out, please email him at getjesse@king5.com

Agreed, poor product to spend money on, the tennis ball idea works just as well. This was a fun show to watch though, glad to see a guy from Seattle FD make the calender cover, and someone with charisma and a sense of humor to tape something like this! One thing I have always appreciated is the emphesis that Seattle Fire puts on physical fitness... good to know "McSteamy" is fit enough to save my A** if I should need it someday!

I have to agree with the Steamy Fireman... I was given one and found that the time it took in the dryer was enough to get better results from an iron on many items of clothing.

While I have my doubts about the product - it would help if Jesse followed the directions (for the product and the dryer). Any item dried alone is more likely to be wrinkled (and is a tremendous waste of energy). The interaction with the other clothes in the load is what tosses and fluffs them reducing wrinkles (and I guess the ball helps that). One garment alone spends most of it's time plastered to the side of the dryer.

I saw it on TV. Looked to me like it worked fine. The "firefighter" appeared to be an arrogant a-hole who is never satisfied with anything (likely a narcissist control freak) Definitely is not someone I want to be around. As for the mr. steamy - I'll go out and buy one. Great idea that works well - unless you are a narcissistic b-st-rd who is not satisfied with anything.

You know, I didn't even click the video. It's one of those moments where "a picture speaks 1000 words".
