Since the uprising against Syria's president began almost two years ago, nearly 60,000 people have been killed, according to United Nations estimates. To date, around 500,000 Syrians have fled to neighboring countries to escape the civil war.
Rita Zawaideh will be leaving tomorrow for Jordan. Each night, 3,000 Syrians attempt to enter Jordan. Zawaideh will be traveling with a team of U.S. doctors to help provide much-needed medical care, clothing, and supplies for refugees fleeing from Syria. She joins us now to better explain what's going on.
