LAKEWOOD, Wash. - Scores of people gathered at the Lakewood Town Center Friday night to form a heart in memory of the Lakewood police officers who were killed last weekend.

The event was organized by a local radio station.

A picture of the heart will be sent to the families of Sgt. Mark Renninger, 39, and officers Ronald Owens, 37, Tina Griswold, 40, and Greg Richards, 42, as well as law enforcement officers around the Northwest.

supernews: you have lost sight of why the heart was made. When I stood at the bottom corner of the heart I looked around and wondered how many people where there only to be on the news because no one seemed to care why we were doing it.
