At the King County Board of Health meeting on Thursday night, the board will vote on a resolution related to mental health and violent crime prevention. In New York, state legislators passed the first major control measure since Sandy Hook. One of the requirements is that mental health professionals tell law enforcement if their patients talka bout harming themselves or others.

Amnon Shoenfeld, the director of King County Mental Health, shared his thoughts on Thursday's vote and what needs to be done about this issue.
