Tips for sticking to your exercise resolutions

It is easy to make a New Year's resolution, but keeping it is an entirely different thing. Experts say there are three things you can do to ensure success this year.

"Start small and set your goals so that they're realistic. Don't start out with a 5 mile run," said Alice Argosino, group exercise manager at Rain Fitness in Seattle. That way you ensure that you will not feel like a failure on Day 1.

Making it fun is another way to make sure you do it. Perhaps join a group exercise class or a support group if you are trying to quit smoking. Make it something you look forward to.

Argosino says that accountability might be the most important thing of all.

"I think the biggest way to be accountable is to start with social media, tell your friends, tell your family," said Argosino.
