People in Seattle will remember local, lovable clown J.P. Patches as the man who made them laugh before heading off to school each morning.
Chris Wedes, the man who played J.P. Patches, died Sunday of blood cancer. He was 84 years old.
Steve Wilson, director of New Day Northwest on KING 5, not only watched the show as a child, but had the honor of knowing Wedes in his personal life.
'He was an amazing person, on the air and off the air," said Wilson. "The show was magic."
