The state senator who cut millions of dollars from homeless shelters now supports the funding, if there's an audit of how it’s spent.
Embattled State Senator Jan Angel says she'll support a homeless bill similar to the one she killed last week.
"We had a bill that the Department of Commerce had not done their reporting. We had a bill that we don't have accurate data that we're aware of,” she said.
At a Senate hearing last Thursday, Angel abruptly stopped the meeting with the pound of her gavel, even though her colleagues had reached a compromise.
The bill would have funded millions of dollars for state homeless shelter by keeping in place a $40 fee on people who buy a new home.
