The ongoing problems with Boeing's 787 Dreamliner is more than a bump in the fortunes of a major aerospace company.
Given the company's birth in the Pacific Northwest and the tens of thousands of active employees and retirees, Boeing's troubles are a kick to the region's morale.
A group of retired Boeing engineers, gathered at a cafe near the Museum of Flight, talked about the 787 news and what they think is the cause of the company's troubles.
