Where can you find thousands of adults splashing around in mud pits? The 1st Annual Dirty Dash, of course. The race, held in Kent, is a 10K obstacle course through mud pits, over walls, up scaffolding, through tires, and down a 150 foot slip and slide. The race benefits several local charities including Redeeming Soles and Hopelink.

"We just really want people to come out and have a good time. We're not serious about keeping records, race times, or anything like that. Just come with your friends, dress up in crazy costumes, and be prepared to get very muddy," said Carly Crandall, one of the organizers with The Dirty Dash.

Over 4,000 runners are registered but they are accepting race-day applicants. Visit www.thedirtydash.com for more information on how to participate.
