LOS ANGELES, Calif. - A news camera was rolling when a speeding car plowed into a wreck already blocking part of a busy Los Angeles freeway early Friday morning.

The first crash occurred just after 2 a.m. on the Santa Monica Freeway.

Minutes later another car struck a vehicle disabled in the first accident at full speed before coming to rest against another.

At least one person was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

Two of the drivers involved were arrested.

Inattention alcohol is the cause of the collision. Dark and raining during the hours drunks fill our roadways and I am sure they didn't reduce their speed at all. This is all too common with most people on the road. They scrape the ice off their windshields and then continue to drive at 70 mph until they hit something. Of course this surprises them just as the idiot driver on tape that exclaimed "How did this happen?!" It happened because you are a drunk and/or a idiot!!! One would think that a bunch of cars on the side of the road with a bright news camera pointing about might make one consider slowing down.

Tumwater... the MEDIA caused that twerp to plow into that wreck? You've gotta be joking? What did you expect the cameraguy to do... use The Force to prevent it? Yeah, our media coverage leaves a lot to be desired at time, but not here!

Sure, it's nice that the news crew is there to cover a story and, yes, the driver that hit the stopped car should have been paying a little closer attention.... But, don't you think it would be nice if the news guys would consider thinking about someone else's safety before getting a good shot of a wreck? Maybe by using a little common sense and setting out some flares to prevent more accidents? Media is the cause of a lot of disasters and I think they need to use a little common sense. All I see when I watch this video is a very careless camera man just waiting to catch a trajedy on video instead of acting to prevent one. Sickening. Stupid media thinks that catching live video of something bad makes them the hero, when in reality they may have been the cause or at least could have prevented it.

"Speeding" car? At "full speed?" Is it just me or does it look like the car is going maybe 30mph in the video.. if that..
