'Hire America's Heroes' connects vets with jobs

The transition from military life to the civilian workforce can be a difficult one. "Hire America's Heroes" works to connect veterans with corporate America. The group held a career day to help make that jump a little bit easier.

i'm greatful to our vets but its bad when a preference is taken over merit. Is someone better qualified passed up? FEMA was a dumping ground for job entitlements and look what happened there when Katrina hit. The GI Bill, VA, there are lots of programs out there for vets with some initiative.

It would help if the government could enact policy and trade agreements that prevented "corporate America" from outsourcing American jobs. But that might interfere with the invisible hand of the 'free market'. There's always wall-mart.
