How would I find out if this class is offered again? I think this is a great idea for hands on training. I for one would like to participate. Can we get another class, offered in the late afternoon / evening for us working adults?

I think this is great. My mom is in her 80s and using the internet, but she would learn a lot from a class like this. It can really help older people from being too isolated. Most computer learning will come from just using the computer--search on whatever you want--recipes, how to take care of a certain garden plant, find a book you've always wanted, etc. It will all help you learn. Email and Facebook are not just excuses not to phone people, but are each completely new ways of communicating that have different benefits. Good job UW students!
