All of you stating oh, the father was just trying to take care of his kids, she was sleeping with other men, etc. What does that have to do with legal custody? The dad can have as many affairs as he wishes, but he's now the moral judge of the mom? It's clear that he didn't care about the welfare of his kids, and perhaps she doesn't either. What is clear is that they are BOTH using these kids as pawns. The kids are caught in the middle of a couple of jerks. He broke the law by a) coming onto the base when he was not supposed to be; b) taking the kids away from the custodial parent, and c) being a flaming jerk. She appears to be guilty of a) using the kids as pawns; and b) using poor judgement when sleeing around - although that is not a factor when deciding custody - except by the jealous dad!

Dude, there is obviously another side to this story and the father (depending on the custody order) has a right to his kids. bobknows, you presume way too much. It is not anti-father, how many times has it gone off because the mom took the kids? More than a few also, so shut up and try to post something intelligent (unlike graham, who should just stop while he is behind) and not some moronic tiraid you know nothing about.

2 thumbs up to this guy. Rather than taking the kids out of the country and never to be seen from again, he went to an attorney. Granted, I dont believe what he did was completely right, but I do believe he needed to take a stand. They are HIS kids too and way too often women use their kids as leverage. Dont get me wrong, men do it too. But you almost never hear about that. Maybe he felt like he had no other options. Maybe he tried doing it the right way and when that failed he said the heck with it and did it this way. We may never know what was going through his mind. But I hope for the kids' sake, this gets sorted out soon. They dont deserve to be caught in the middle of whatever garbage these two "adults" are throwing at eachother.

What part of my comment gave you the idea I had any respect for the woman? I got the info about her from other news sites. I thought I made it clear that she was pulling the wool over the eyes of the athorities with her BS. Seeing that she was just caught with her pants down with a guy she was not married to, I expect to see her brought up on charges by the military. A two star just lost a star for that very charge. But he was a guy, so that will probably be the difference.

Shame on all the media that have twisted Amber Hate into an anti-father hate program used to attack good fathers. This story shows another reason why so many good men stand up and cheer when someone wastes one or more of the evil government thugs in blue shirts. Their war against fathers and families needs to be stopped by whatever means necessary.

This is nothing but a way for the mom to punish the dad for not loving her. She said how she has called the authorities several times about domestic abuse, but she always ends up bailing him out of jail so that she has a ride to work. Obviously she has no fear for the lives of the kids or herself every time she bails him out. This was the result of a wussy system that drops everything for a woman based on emotions not facts.

Madisonpag? I am not an idiot, you are misunderstanding WHY we have the Amber Alert System and WHO Amber was and HOW she disappeared. IT was NOT a custody issue. Lets use our resources to catch CHILD RAPISTS and MURDERERS instead of BABYSITTING the IMMATURE parents who procreated and made this mess! Remember Lindsey Baum? Zina Linnick? Andrea? and a host of others where the alert system would have served them well- instead of using it up to settle custody issues.

So, the problem boils down to the way society breeds contempt for any person who does not fit a person's idea of what they would have done. I am glad that the children were not harmed. And I hope that whatever the problem, it will be resolved. Some want to blame men, and some want to blame women. I, personally, will blame society. Women are not always to blame, and neither are men. Making statements like that are ignorant and false, and only add to the selfishness of American culture.

The mother is as crazy as an outhouse rat and was just caught red-handed cheating on her husband Saturday in THEIR house, with THEIR children in the very next room. Don't judge a book by it's cover. One more thing....I am a mother of three and not male. Here is my opinion. The dad took them to an attorneys office for God's sakes! How do you all know that he didn't do it because the mom had some scumbag boyfriend move in on her! Everybody needs to calm down and whoever issued the alert should be arrested for filing a false alert! This is NOT what the Amber Alert was issued for! There goes more innocent people caught up in the law meant for few again! He was heading for Oregon......I wonder if it will remind us of the O.J. scene and be a total waste of government funds for something as simple as common sense!

I am sure the kids are fine.....on the other hand each of these parents needs to stop being so selfish! There will be plenty of time once the kids are grown.

Go ahead and think what you want, the father is wrong in how he handled it. All it has accomplished is showing how unwilling he is to work things out the right way. As some have said, we don't know both sides of the story, but he just dug a deeper hole for himself by taking the children as he did. And as for Washington being on the side of the mother in these cases, I know several where it did go the other way. And I would think she has legal custody or he would not have had to take them the way he did. He would have been able to show up with law enforcement and taken them legally.

Amber Alert was not just meant to catch deadbeat, abusive, parents who don't have parenting rights or abilities, and have stolen their kids from the custodial parent. It, more than anything, is meant to alert when ANY child is stolen, and is especially helpful when the child(ren) are stolen by a stranger, but the car/license is perhaps know. For those of you ranting about this being against fathers, there have been amber alerts on mothers who have stolen their kids too.

First of all, taking your children out of their home is wrong. They are not pawns in a power struggle between mother and father. That said, there are two sides to every story. It is not uncommon for mothers to play the DV/abuse card if it gives them leverage in a custody dispute. This guy may have just created a lot of headaches for himself. Oregon courts are just anti-father as Washington.

Before anyone jumps to conclusions, let's here the father's side of the story. He might be complete scum or he might be the victim of a very cruel woman using their children against him. I've seen it happen with my own stepson. This state has always been pro-woman, even at the expense of the children involved at times. All I can stress is if you're a mom - even if you completely HATE your children's father - try and be objective. Is he a good father to your children? Does his presence in your children's lives make them happy? If the answer is yes, then put your hate aside and work it out.

@graham: Assuming that you are serious and not just trolling to get under people's skin, you are way off base. He took them to an attorney's office. It could be that the mother is at fault, perhaps denying him his visitation. And just because she filed for a restraining order doesn't mean that he did anything wrong. It is not uncommon for people in custody battles to falsely accuse their ex-spouses of everything from physical abuse to sexual abuse of the children. @bobknows: Take the idiocy level of graham's comments, multiply them by about 5, and that's how ridiculous your comments are in the opposite direction. It possible that the father is being wronged by his ex and is simply trying to protect the rights of his children and himself, and it is also possible that he is a control freak a-hole. I don't know and neither do you. And as for your claims of anti-father bias, do you really think it would've been different if the mother had taken them?

Once again the Amber Hate system has been used to attack and destroy a father taking care of HIS children. That is the antithesis of the alleged justification for establishing the system. It is another government program to promote anti-father hate, not a system to protect children. Shame on the Fort Lewis pigs. Shame on the NWCN and all the other media for pushing hate against fathers. Shame on the Amber-Hate system.
