Prom can be an expensive event for families, but one beauty school in Everett is trying to change that. The students at Northwest Hair Academy are doing prom hair and makeup for high school students for a $20 donation.
"This Saturday we're hosting a Go Glam event and kids can come down and get their hair and makeup done for a twenty dollar donation" said Angela Clark, campus director at Northwest Hair Academy.
All of the proceeds will go to Compassion First, an organization that helps fight sex and human trafficking.
"One-hundred percent of the proceeds that come in from the event go to the safe house that we have in Indonesia to care for the girls' medical and legal care, and we also fund several organizations that work up and down the I-5 corridor with victims of trafficking" said Alison Livengood, Go Glam director with the charity Compassion First.
The Go Glam event is happening this Saturday at the Northwest Hair Academy in Everett.
