The Washington State Department of Transportation has released time-lapse video of last weekend's work along the 520 bridge. The video shows workers demolishing an old overpass at 92nd Avenue NE to make room for a future lidded overpass.
Workers also installed 34 large concrete girders for a similar lidded overpass at Evergreen Point Road.
The work is part of a project to widen the highway to six lanes on the Eastside and add transit stops.
