Weekend trip to Harrison Hot Springs Village

SEPT. 15, 2016 - Looking for an easy weekend getaway from Western Washington? This one will take you out of the country, North of the border!

Harrison Hot Springs Village in British Columbia is an easy three hour drive from Seattle up I-5, through the U.S. Canadian border at Sumas then east on Highway 1 past Abbotsford. There are many signs directing you.

Lodging ranges from quaint rustic bungalows, to camping, to the elegant Harrison Hot Spring resort.

Harrison Lake is a beautiful, large lake with legendary healing hot springs. At the resort, natural mineral water is exported into pools, bringing vacationers a warm, therapeutic experience. The high mineral content of the water is known to bring relief to conditions such as rheumatism and arthritis.

There is also a wide range of restaurants from fine dining to casual pub style and everything in between. Morgan's restaurant nestled in the quaint village of Harrison is a delightful, small restaurant serving great food with excellent service.

There is activity, or not, for everyone and lots of events year round... arts shows, car shows, a wine festival, Mother's Day and Father's Day celebrations, a Canada Day celebration, Dragon boat festival and Christmas delights just to name a few.
