Alaska Airlines has joined the growing list of airlines that offer a mobile boarding pass through its iPhone app.
According to the airline website, the Electronic Boarding Pass (eBP) displays all the same information you’d find on a paper boarding pass including:
• Your Name
• Mileage Plan Number
• Flight Number
• Departure Gate
• Boarding Time
• Seat Assignment
• Departure and Arrival City
• Confirmation Code
• Number of Bags to be Checked
But beware, Alaska admits that the site is not secure.
There is no fee to use the service, but travel must only be on Alaska Airlines to use the eBP. Internatonal reservations are also available for mobile check-in as long as it contains your passport information.
There are a limited number of airports that are enabled for eBP. See the list at the Alaska Airlines website.
