The Seattle Department of Transportation is working to make Southwest Roxbury in White Center safer between 35th Southwest and its east end at 4th/Olson.
In the past three years, there have been 223 vehicle collisions, 112 injuries, and 11 pedestrian-car collisions.
This project started as the result of a community effort. SDOT will hold a meeting with the White Center Chamber of Commerce on Tuesday, part of a series of community events.
Some of the short-term changes include pavement repair and photo-enforcement cameras. SDOT plans to release long-term plans in July.
The plan will pair changes on Roxbury with changes in enforcement and educational outreach.
