Pranksters got a hold of an electronic sign in Seattle on Monday, adjusting it to warn of zombies ahead on 520.
Drivers started calling in around 4:40 a.m. when they spotted the sign that read, "Warning Zombies Ahead" on the eastbound shoulder just before crossing onto the bridge.
At least one driver claimed the sign included a profane word.
Unfortunately, KING 5 News hasn't found a photo of the sign. If you took one, send it to us by clicking here and we'll credit you in this article.
Washington State Department of Transportation officials turned off the sign by 6:30 a.m., before the big morning rush.
They said it may have been an isolated incident, but will investigate.
Reports of electronic traffic signs being hacked aren't exactly rare. A quick Google search for "hacking electronic traffic signs" returned more than 1 million links.
