ABERDEEN, Wash. -- A pontoon 360 feet long is the biggest of the first six pontoons built in Aberdeen for the new Highway 520 floating bridge on Lake Washington at Seattle.

The department says they'll float for the first time Monday evening as they are moved out of their casting basin during  high tide on Grays Harbor.

The Transportation Department says they include two pontoons that were repaired after cracking.

In this YouTube video, you can see the first two pontoons towed out of the Concrete Technology Corporation casting basin in Tacoma, Wash., on July 23.

The new bridge on Lake Washington between Seattle and Bellevue requires 77 pontoons. Thirty-three are being built at Aberdeen and 44 at Tacoma. The first Tacoma pontoons were floated last week.

The pontoons will be towed to Lake Washington and the new $587 million bridge will start to take shape this summer.
