Due to two mudslides and a train derailment, Amtrak and Sounder commuter trains are on hold until 11 p.m. Tuesday. Rail passengers will be bused.
The first slide on the Northline occurred around 8 p.m. on Jan. 12 in Everett. A second slide occurred in the Mukilteo area just after 11 p.m.
Around 1:10 a.m. Jan. 13, a Tacoma-Chicago train derailed between Auburn and Kent.
Southline Sounder service between Seattle and Lakewood will operate reduced service Monday. The following trains are canceled: Train 1505 (3:12 pm Seattle departure), Train 1507 (3:42 pm Seattle departure), Train 1516 (4:25 pm Tacoma departure) and Train 1518 (4:55 pm Tacoma departure).
All other trains will operate with potential minor delays due to single tracking and speed restrictions: Train 1509 (4:12 pm Seattle departure), Train 1511 (4:32 pm Seattle departure), Train 1513 (4:52 pm Seattle departure), Train 1515 (5:12 pm Seattle departure), Train 1517 (5:42 pm Seattle departure) and Train 1519 (6:12 pm Seattle departure).
Southline commuters are encouraged to take normally scheduled bus service or arrange alternative transport.
The alternate Northline travel options are:
Everett-Seattle: Board regularly scheduled ST Express Route 510 at Everett Station bay C1, departing approximately every 10-15 minutes. Please note: Additional buses will be available and dispatched when needed to help ease overcrowding on Route 510.
Mukilteo-Seattle: Board regularly scheduled Community Transit Route 417 at the Ferry Terminal departing at 5:49 a.m., 6:21 a.m., 6:51 a.m., 7:21 a.m. and 7:53 a.m. Please note: These times do not correspond with regular Sounder schedule.
Edmonds-Seattle: Board regularly scheduled Community Transit Route 416 at Edmonds Station bay 4, departing at 5:45 a.m., 6:15 a.m., 6:34 a.m., 6:55 a.m., and 7:42 a.m. Please note: These times do not correspond with regular Sounder schedule

Riders are encouraged to take normally scheduled bus service to their destination or arrange for alternative means of transportation.
Updates will be provided as information becomes available, including when train service will be restored between Lakewood and Seattle.
