LYNNWOOD, Wash. - Lynnwood police say 15 people were arrested last week in a prostitution sting centered on escorts who advertised on the Craigslist Internet site.

Detectives from Lynnwood and Everett joined Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents in making the arrests last Friday.

Those arrested included 10 women, aged 17 to 47, and five men. Two of the women were underage.

The females were from cities in the Puget Sound area, including Edmonds, Everett, Kirkland, Mukilteo, Renton and Seattle.

In November of 2007, seven Snohomish County women were arrested after allegedly selling sex via Craigslist.

Lynnwood police said when they did a follow-up on that sting, they determined that there was a need for another investigation, and they found there was still a significant number of ads on Craigslist having an overtone of sex for sale in South Snohomish County.
