Video: Kirkland construction worker injured in fall

KIRKLAND, Wash. – Rescuers Friday morning pulled a man to safety after he fell 30 to 40 feet into a shaft at a construction site.

The worker fell from scaffolding and landed on more scaffolding at the Juanita Bay Pump Station Replacement Project, located at 9300 NE Juanita Dr.

The accident generated a large response from fire crews and police, who used a rope to pull the man to safety.

Rescue crews were at the site of a worker who may have fallen up to 10 feet at a building under construction on Juanita Drive in Kirkland.

The man, an employee of Cascade Painting, was said to be conscious and alert. He was transported to Harborview Medical Center with non life-threatening injuries to his head and chest.
