Man in dress threatens students with taser
06:11 PM PDT on Wednesday, May 28, 2008
OLYMPIA, Wash. – A call for a woman armed with a taser at a high school Wednesday morning turned out to be a man in a dress.
Olympia Police say officers responded to Capital High School around 7 a.m., where 33-year-old Anya Adora was reported to be threatening students near the main entrance.
"As we were walking up to the classroom, I saw some guy in a dress, in pink rubber boots. It looked pretty ridiculous, I'm not going to lie," said senior Ian Metz. He says he wasn't scared by the stranger until he thought he saw a gun in the man's hand.

It was actually a taser, but it was enough to send Metz running into class to tell his teacher.
"It's going to sound completely out of nowhere, but there's a man out there with a gun and pink boots," Metz told his teacher.
Police say the 33-year-old threatened to taze half-a-dozen Capital students. Adora surrendered once police arrived. He never touched a child. Still, he's being held at the Olympia City Jail and investigators don't want him released until he's mentally evaluated.
"He has posted a lot of things on the internet that certainly need to be cleared up," said Cmdr. Tor Bjornstad, Olympia Police.
At the top of that list is what appears to be the Adora's Myspace page with the quote "An eye for an eye. A child must die." Blog entries on the site from early Wednesday morning are titled "Capital High School Tragedy" and "Dead kids are funny."
In the Capital High School Tragedy posting, there is a thread that reads "In about an hour or so, teens from Capital High School will be parking out from my house, and littering as usual. If i (sic) SHOOT ONE, perhaps the FIRST ONE TO PARK OUTSIDE, Can i (sic) PLEASE HAVE SOMEONE TO TALK TO ABOUT MY GENDER ISSUES?"
Adora lives across the street from the school and kids say he's yelled at them before, but Wednesday morning was different.
"I was on my way to psychology class, so I've been learning about guys like this who may have issues. To me, I think he needs some help," said Metz.
Adora faces misdemeanor charges of harassment and disorderly conduct.
Police are also looking at a blog posting on the suspect's Myspace page that appears to threaten a state appeals judge who's dealing with a case involving the man.
