LYNDEN, Wash. - Police in the small Whatcom County town of Lynden say followers of the rap/metal duo "Insane Clown Posse" may be responsible for vandalizing the city's vehicle fleet.

Sometime this weekend, vandals spray painted graffiti on city vehicles, smashed out a car's window and sprayed car interiors with fire extinguishers.

Some of the graffiti read "ICP, Juggalo, and "JRB," all of which are slogans connected with followers of "Insane Clown Posse," or "ICP."

The rap/metal duo from Michigan has been performing since the '80s. Comprised of singers "Violent J" and "Shaggy 2 Dope," the duo appears at shows in clown face paint and sings songs laced with violent lyrics. Followers of the band are called "Juggalos."

In April, an assault in Lynden was attributed to a group of "Juggalos." One of the men charged had his name legally changed a few years ago to reflect his association with "ICP." Known previously as David Allen Barnhouse, his new legal name is David Sadistic Juggalo.

Marci Abshire is knows the name "Juggalo" all too well.

Several months ago she hired a man to do some landscaping. She later discovered he has the legal name of "Lance Blaze Juggalo."

Twice he burglarized her home, for a total loss of $10,000.

"Worst of all he took a piece of jewelry that was an heirloom. My grandfather passed away a few years ago and he took that," Abshire said.

Insane Clown Posse has been performing since the 1980s. Followers of the band are called "Juggalos."

A judge sentenced Lance Juggalo to 19 months in prison.

Abshire hopes that will be a lesson for others.

"It just seems like such a waste, I mean, I don't know what they're trying to prove," she said.
