1:05 p.m.: Reports of a head-on collision on SR 507 near Tenino in white-out conditions.

8:43 a.m.: All lanes are back open on SR 18 at 304th Street by Auburn.

8:00 a.m.: KING5's Charlotte Starck reports the DOT plans to reopen eastbound SR-18 in a few minutes.

7:40 a.m.: Metro Traffic reports commute problems appear to be easing.

7:15 a.m.: Metro Traffic reports de-icing trucks are being sent to SR-18 in Auburn.

6:42 a.m.: Icy conditions reported on I-5 in Pierce up into King Counties. Eric Kirschner in TrafficKING suggests people in the South Sound area delay their commute if possible until temperatures warm up.

6:03 a.m.: Multiple accidents on I-5 in Federal Way. Both directions. TrafficKING reports accidents include a roll-over accident on the ramp at 272nd.

6:02 a.m.: KING5 meteorologist Rich Marriott says the snow will be sticking around for "a few more days" and may get worse.

6:00 a.m.: SR 18 fatal accident update: KING5 News' Charlotte Starck reports black ice conditions. Fatal accident involved a State Trooper patrol car. A 46-year-old woman died when her car hit the patrol unit.

5:30 a.m.: Numerous school districts begin reporting changes and delays

5:23 a.m.: Multiple accidents northbound I-5 from 320 to 272 due to ice. Three left lanes closed.

4:54 a.m.: SR 18 eastbound accident update - This is a fatal 2-car accident.

3:56 a.m.: Report of an accident in the Auburn Black Diamond area - SR18 eastbound at Auburn Way South. State Patrol is calling for Dept. of Trans. and sanding on the ramp.
