Mt. Rainier National Park

Devin Ossman

MOUNT RAINIER, Wash. – Search teams will head back out at first light Wednesday to look for a man reported missing after his car was found at Mount Rainier National Park.

A ranger on patrol noticed the car parked at the Kautz Creek trailhead on the south side of the mountain Monday night.

A check of the plates revealed the owner is a 45-year-old Mukilteo man, Devin Ossman, who had been reported missing by his wife.

Ossman is believed to have arrived at the park on the morning of March 17. He is described as 6 feet tall, about 150 pounds, with a slim, wiry build and brown hair and blue eyes.

He may be wearing a flannel plaid shirt, black suede jacket, black scarf, gray cap with white stripes and wire-rimmed glasses.

Four search teams and a bloodhound checked the area, but did not find the man.  They will head out again Wednesday morning.

Anyone with information is asked to call Mount Rainier National Park at 360-569-2211, extension 2334.
