Forbes Magazine lists Seattle as the third greediest city in America. It's also fourth when it comes to lust and jealousy.

SEATTLE – Doesn't it just make sense that people living in the "Emerald" City are some of the greediest in America?

That's the result of a new study by Forbes Magazine, which ranks the top cities in the nation when it comes to the seven deadly sins; lust, gluttony, avarice, sloth, wrath, envy and pride.

Forbes lists Seattle as the third greediest city behind San Jose and San Francisco.  All three cities are booming in the tech industry.  The greediest list is based largely on the Forbes 400 list of richest people and where they live. The Puget Sound region as the home to the richest man on the planet, Bill Gates, as well as Paul Allen and Steve Ballmer of Microsoft and Amazon.com's Jeff Bezos.

In the words of the magazine, "No wonder this city gave rise to the $4 latte. Trickle-down wealth goes to coffee, coffee, and more coffee."

Of course, seeing all that wealth around you could make you a little envious for what you don't have.  Forbes ranks Seattle as the fourth most jealous city in America.  The magazine cites the amount of property crimes, burglaries, thefts and auto thefts per capita, as tracked by the FBI.  Seattle falls behind Memphis, Tenn. Charlotte-Mecklenburg, N.C. and San Antonio, Texas.

Austin Powers might want to consider shacking up in the Pacific Northwest.   Forbes ranked Portland the second most lustful city, followed by Seattle in fourth and Boise, Idaho/Salt Lake City, Utah fifth.  First place went to Denver while Portland tied with San Antonio for second.  The results are largely based on the amount of contraceptives purchased per capita.
