Missing man's family, friends looking for answers

FEDERAL WAY, Wash. – The car of a SeaTac man who has been missing since Wednesday has been found.

Nicholas Francisco's red 1992 Toyota Paseo hatchback was found at the Heritage Condos at 123 S. 340th Street in the Panther Lake area of Federal Way Monday morning. A resident says he saw a news report about Francisco and recognized his car in the parking lot.

"I heard he was from SeaTac so it's kind of strange his car's here in Federal Way," said resident Angela Blocki.

Several people living in the complex say they don't believe the car had been here very long. For Francisco's friends and family, this is the biggest potential clue on the road to answers.

"Now we have someplace to look. That's probably the best news we've heard up to this point," said Lee Brown, Francisco's friend.

Francisco, 28, was last seen around 6 p.m. on February 13 as he was leaving work in Seattle's Queen Anne neighborhood. He was supposed to go to the store before heading home to his pregnant wife and two young children.

The King County Sheriff's Office says it's found nothing in the car that points to foul play. Deputies plan to return to the neighborhood to ask residents about what they've seen and when. Police say, as far as they know, Francisco has no connection to the Heritage Condos.

Francisco is about 6 feet tall. He was last seen wearing a light-blue or off-white button-down shirt, a black jacket and blue jeans.

Monday evening, family, friends and volunteers went door to door in Federal Way in their search for Francisco handing out flyers.

There's a $5,000 reward in the case.
